Norfolk Holiday

UX Design & Full Stack Development Visit Website

This project was a standalone effort. I designed the website look and feel following task flow and wire flow mockups. My aim for this design was to expose the relevant selection of Holiday cottages to the right person with the shortest amount of interactions as possible.

The front end was initially mocked up with Webflow, but later re-architected with a custom grid framework, to reduce the amount of frontend code being loaded into the browser. From there, I used Symphony CMS to power the data handling and content management duties on the website.

The website utilises full user authentication and a comprehensive process to post information about your holiday cottage, with options to save your details as drafts before they are submitted to Norfolk Holiday for processing. For Property search, the site uses a mapbox integration alongside traditional listings to give users an idea of the geography of the local area.

The site interfaces natively with SuperControl – a property and booking management platform which the client uses to publish their Holiday Lets to all major booking platforms, including Booking.com, AirBNB and HomeAway.
